1. What should I do if specific content on my profile has been deleted?
If your profile has been moderated following an illegal content report, you will receive a notification explaining the reason for our decision. We also recommend reviewing Azar's terms of service and community guidelines to understand the terms that govern your use of our services.
2. Can I appeal the moderation decision?
If the moderation decision is made following a report through the illegal content reporting form, you may appeal the moderation decision within 6 months from the notification of our moderation decision.
If you are a user located in the European Union, we will handle such an appeal in accordance with the Digital Services Act.
3. I've made an illegal content report, and you decided not to act on it. Can I appeal this decision?
Yes, you have the right to appeal within 6 months from our decision not to act upon your illegal content report. If you are a user located in the European Union, we will handle such an appeal in accordance with the Digital Services Act.
4. What is the suggested time frame for filing an appeal?
While you have the option to file an appeal within 6 months from the notification of our moderation decision, we strongly recommend that you submit your appeal within 30 days. This allows us to address your concerns more efficiently and promptly. Please note that after the 6-month period, you will not be able to appeal the moderation decision.
5. How do I file an appeal?
If you have reported illegal content and provided a valid email address, you will receive an email regarding the moderation decision. Please click the link to the appeal form provided in the email.
If your content has been removed following a moderation decision, you will receive a notice within the app's notification center. Please click the link to the appeal form available in the notice.
To ensure we can locate your reports or reported content, we recommend submitting an appeal form as guided above.
6. What information should I include in my appeal?
When filing an appeal, it's important to be clear and concise. Complete all required fields, provide information on the specific moderation action you are appealing, and provide a detailed explanation as to why you believe the decision was incorrect or unjust.
7. What if my appeal is successful?
If your appeal is successful, restrictions associated with the moderation may be lifted. You should also receive a notification confirming the resolution. It might be possible that we will not reinstate the content (for example if such content is no longer retained by us because of privacy retention periods) but that you will be allowed to reupload the content.
8.Do I have other (external) redress options?
If you're located in the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA) and want to challenge a decision to remove content or restrict your account due to content determined to be illegal or violate our Terms, you have options. You can use an EU-certified out-of-court dispute body to review the decision, though their rulings aren’t binding. A list of these bodies is available on the European Commission’s website HERE.
If you haven’t already, we recommend first challenging the decision through the platform’s appeal process. Be sure to provide specific details on why you are appealing the platform’s decision.
Additionally, you can report DSA rule violations to your country’s Digital Service Coordinator. These options don’t limit your ability to pursue other legal remedies that may be available to you.
